Food Service

TBD - Team Leader

Food service supports the church's busy schedule. Food service may vary from a formal food service to covered-dish meals. Other aspects of food service may include luncheons, fellowships, and wedding preparations.


Grief and Bereavment Team

Rick and Joanie Rogers - Team Leaders

To support the ministry of the church by providing caring consolation, spiritual support, and meeting practical needs to those who are experiencing the loss of a loved one.

  • Meet with family for a time of prayer, providing spiritual and emotional support
  • Assess needs and determine with the family how best to meet those needs
  • Assist with making funeral arrangements
  • Provide support and coordinator efforts for the repast
  • Assist with transportation and lodging needs for out-of-town family members
  • Provide meals as needed before and/or after the funeral
  • Ensure that long-term follow-up is maintained through the grieving process

  • Homebound/Extended Care

    Randy and Barbara Boykin - Team Leaders

    To support the ministry of the church by providing long-term assistance to those who are homebound.

  • Make regular contacts (by mail, phone call or visit – suggested – weekly)
  • Regularly assess physical, financial, emotional, and spiritual needs
  • Determine how best to meet discovered needs
  • Monthly visit to provide the Lord’s Supper (as well as other aspects of worship of scripture reading, prayer, sharing points from the DiscipleLIFE lesson, bringing a CD of worship, etc.)
  • Provide transportation
  • Provide yard care, home maintenance, run errands

  • To support the ministry of the church by welcoming and ministering to our church family and guests as we gather.

  • Help people feel welcome on Sunday morning
  • Be prepared for special needs on Sunday morning
  • Help people find their way to various classes/services
  • Facilitate ushers for the collection
  • Gathering accurate and legible information about guests

  • This team serves the men in our church by coming along side for encouragement, discipleship, mentoring, ministry and fellowship. They host various activities throughout the year.


    To support the ministry of the church by contacting members and visitors with post cards, letters, and/or phone calls.

  • Contact members who have missed several Sundays
  • Send notes of encouragement
  • Send cards to commemorate a member’s birthday, express sympathy for a loss of a family member, joy over the birth of a baby, prayer for illness

  • To support the ministry of the church by providing care, support and assisting with the spiritual, emotional, and physical needs of our widows and widowers.

  • Make regular contacts (by mail, phone call or visit – suggested – weekly)
  • Regularly assess physical, financial, emotional, and spiritual needs
  • Determine how best to meet discovered needs
  • Assist with yard care, home maintenance, automotive maintenance, etc.
  • Establish a network of widows/widowers to provide support with the grief of losing a spouse
  • Help them find ways to use their skill and talents in other ministry opportunities at the church

  • Women's Ministry

    JoAnn Proctor - Team Leader

    This team serves the women in our church by coming along side for encouragement, discipleship, mentoring, ministry and fellowship. They host various activities throughout the year.
