4) Testimony of Grace – FBCUM ‘NEW’ kids! – Psalm 127 reminds us that children are a gift of the Lord. This week we wanted to praise God for the safe delivery of two of these gifts:
Violet Rose Almy was born on 4/17/20 to John and Jessica Almy (and big brother Wes!)
Eeva Scarlett Beverly was born on 4/12/20 to D’Warren and Sarah Beverly (and big sister Zara)!
As we celebrate the gift of life with the Almy’s and Beverly’s, let’s be sure to pray for these sweet girls and their families:
1. Thank God for giving life, health, and a safe delivery for these kids and moms!
2. Pray that these girls would come to know, love, treasure and trust Jesus at a young age.
3. Pray for wisdom, strength, patience, and God’s grace for the parents as they seek to raise their girls in the ‘discipline and instruction of the Lord’ (Eph. 6:4).
As you see God’s grace in the midst of the Coronavirus crisis: opportunities we have to share the gospel, ways we’ve been encouraged by other members, ideas you have for caring for others, etc., let us know. We want to hear your stories! Jot them down and email them to [email protected].
5) Book Recommendations for this week is a daily devotional: The Pilgrim’s Progress by John Bunyan.
6) Sermon Card for May – July 2020 – We’ve attached a sermon card that lets you know the Scriptures we’ll be covering Lord willing from May through July (2020). As always, we encourage you to read the passage we’ll be covering during the week to prepare your heart and mind for Sunday. This Sunday (5/3) we’ll be looking at 1 John 5:1-5.
7) Giving We encourage you to continue to faithfully give as a way to sustain the gospel ministry at FBCUM and as a means for us to care for those in need as a church family. You can give online or mail in your offering to the church office. Church members who have a benevolence request, please contact the church office at [email protected].
If you have any questions, please contact the church office.
