Announcement
Mid-week Announcements on July 1, 2020
1) Mid-week devotional – For today’s mid-week devotional, take 15 minutes to sit down with Psalm 131 (it’s only 3 verses). Read it a few times on your own, with your family, or those in your household, and then use the Psalm as a prayer ‘springboard’. Ask yourself:
a) What does this Psalm teach me about God that I can praise Him for today? Then, take time to praise Him!
b) How do you need to respond in light of the Psalm? Take time going to God with that and asking Him for His help.
2) FBCUM Virtual Prayer Meeting tonight (7/1/20) at 6:30 PM – Lord willing, we’ll meet online tonight as a church family for a prayer meeting. Please check your email for the ZOOM information to join us. If you have any questions, please contact the church office for help.
3) Grieving with hope – Please remember to pray for:
- Racheal Lederer and family mourning the death of our brother Bill Lederer. His funeral will be Thursday, July 2nd, 11:00 AM at Brinsfield Funeral home in Charlotte Hall, MD. Viewing is tonight between 5:00-8:00 PM
- Vince Butler and family mourning the death of his niece.
- Jay Strickland, Shannon Brown and family mourning the death of their grandmother.
4) Celebrating a wedding – Lord willing, our brother Timothy Moorehead, Jr. will be wed to Whitney Carrington on Saturday, July 4th. Due to COVID19, this will be a private ceremony but we want to make sure to pray for them and rejoice as they begin their life together as husband and wife!
5) Gathering Outdoors on Sunday – Lord willing, we plan on meeting outside again this Sunday, July 5th as well as offer the live-stream option for those who are at high-risk or not ready to gather. Please take a moment to read this FAQ sheet to know what to expect and to make sure you have all the relevant details. Please contact the church office with any questions.
6) Book Recommendation – Adoniram Judson: Devoted for Life, by Vance Christie
7) FBCUM Playlist – Check out the playlist on the resources section of our church’s website. We’ve collected all the songs we’ve recorded during the last two months for our edification and encouragement: Master Playlist
8) Giving We encourage you to continue to faithfully give as a way to sustain the gospel ministry at FBCUM and as a means for us to care for those in need as a church family. You can give online or mail in your offering to the church office. Church members who have a benevolence request, please contact the church office at [email protected].
If you have any questions, please contact the church office.
