Mid-week Announcements on July 15, 2020
1) Mid-week devotional – Check out this week’s mid-week devotional today as Pastor Tyrone leads us through God’s word for our edification and encouragement.
2) Ask Your Pastors Anything – Next Wednesday, (July 22nd) we hope to begin tackling some of the questions that you’ve sent in. As a reminder if you have a question you’d like the please email it to the pastors (at [email protected]). Over the next 4 weeks we’ll work through many of those questions as we seek to apply God’s word to the question raised.
3) FBCUM Virtual Prayer Meeting TONIGHT (7/15/20) at 6:30 PM – Lord willing, we plan to meet as a church family for a prayer meeting. Please check your email for the ZOOM information to join us. If you have any questions, please contact the church office for help.
4) Testimony of Grace: Paul reminds us in Titus 2:14 about our Savior “who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works.” Christians do good works not to earn God’s favor – we are ‘zealous for good works’ knowing what He has graciously done to redeem us. One example this week comes from a creative idea of our sister, Kristine Sohn.
5) Book Recommendation – Good and Bad Ways to Think About Religion and Politics by Robert Benne.
6) Gathering Outdoors on Sunday – Lord willing, we plan on meeting outside again this Sunday, July 19th as well as offer the live-stream option for those who are at high-risk or not ready to gather. Please take a moment to read this FAQ sheet to know what to expect and to make sure you have all the relevant details. Please contact the church office with any questions.
7) FBCUM Playlist – Check out the playlist on the resources section of our church’s website. We’ve collected all the songs we’ve recorded during the last two months for our edification and encouragement: Master Playlist
8) Giving We encourage you to continue to faithfully give as a way to sustain the gospel ministry at FBCUM and as a means for us to care for those in need as a church family. You can give online or mail in your offering to the church office. Church members who have a benevolence request, please contact the church office at [email protected].
If you have any questions, please contact the church office.
