Announcement

Mid-week Announcements on September 30, 2020

1) Mid-week devotional – In our series on the Attributes of God, Pastor Tyrone teaches in this week’s midweek devotional on the omniscience of God – the idea that God knows all things. We should take comfort that though we are limited in what we know, God is not! Take a moment this afternoon to listen.

2) FBCUM Virtual Prayer Meeting, October 7th, at 6:30 PM – Please mark your calendars for next Wednesday at 6:30 PM as we plan to meet as a church family for a prayer meeting. Please check your email for the ZOOM information that morning to join us. If you have any questions, please contact the church office for help.

3) Kids Scripture Memory and Catechismis tonight Wednesday, October 28th. At 6:30 PM, Pastor Zach and Pam Jensen will be leading a time with parents and kids (ages 3-12) over ZOOM to go over the next section of catechism questions. Here’s what we hope to cover

Scripture Memory Challenge Catechism Questions from My 1st Book of Questions and Answers.
#1 – Romans 3:23 1) Experiencing God’s Salvation (2 Questions)
#2 – Romans 6:23 2) Baptism and the Lord’s Supper (5 Questions)

4) Reopening Plans (Indoors) – Lord willing, we plan to move indoors for our worship services beginning November 1st. Please take a moment to read this FAQ sheet to know what to expect and to make sure you have all the relevant details and feel free to contact any of the elders or the church office with any questions.

5) Book Recommendation (Tools for Bible Study) – New Bible Commentary, Edited by: G.J. Wenham, J.A. Motyer, D.A. Carson, and R.T. France

6) Memorizing James together: We want to offer a Scripture memory challenge to our church as a way to hide God’s word in our heart. We’re suggesting two options: Path A is to memorize the entire book of James, Path B is to memorize particular sections from James. Check out this guide to see the schedule for each path, various tools to help you memorize, and other encouragements.

7) Gathering Outdoors on Sunday – Lord willing, we plan on meeting outside again this coming Sunday as well as offer the live-stream option for those who are at high-risk or not ready to gather. Please take a moment to read this FAQ sheet to know what to expect and to make sure you have all the relevant details. Please contact the church office with any questions.

8) FBCUM Playlist – Check out the playlist on the resources section of our church’s website. We’ve collected all the songs we’ve recorded over the last several months for our edification and encouragement: https://fbcum.orgmedia-library/

9) Giving We encourage you to continue to faithfully give as a way to sustain the gospel ministry at FBCUM and as a means for us to care for those in need as a church family. You can give online or mail in your offering to the church office. Church members who have a benevolence request, please contact the church office at [email protected].

If you have any questions, please contact the church office.
