Mid-week Announcements on October 7, 2020
1) Mid-week devotional – In our series on the Attributes of God, Pastor Bill Lowry teaches in this week’s midweek devotional on the omnipotence of God – the idea that God is all powerful. Though we are limited in our strength, God is not; though we grow weary, He does not – praise God! Take a moment this afternoon to listen.
2) FBCUM Virtual Prayer Meeting, October 7th, at 6:30 PM – Lord willing, we plan on meeting tonight on ZOOM for our churchwide prayer meeting. Please check your email for the ZOOM information and come join us. If you have any questions, please contact the church office for help.
3) Reopening Plans (Indoors) – Lord willing, we plan to move indoors for our worship services beginning November 1st. Please take a moment to read this FAQ sheet to know what to expect and to make sure you have all the relevant details and feel free to contact any of the elders or the church office with any questions.
4) Book Recommendation (Tools for Bible Study) – Child Proof: Parenting by Faith not Formula, by Julie Lowe
5) Memorizing James together: We want to offer a Scripture memory challenge to our church as a way to hide God’s word in our heart. We’re suggesting two options: Path A is to memorize the entire book of James, Path B is to memorize particular sections from James. Check out this guide to see the schedule for each path, various tools to help you memorize, and other encouragements.
6) Gathering Outdoors on Sunday – Lord willing, we plan on meeting outside again this coming Sunday as well as offer the live-stream option for those who are at high-risk or not ready to gather. Please take a moment to read this FAQ sheet to know what to expect and to make sure you have all the relevant details. Please contact the church office with any questions.
7) FBCUM Playlist – Check out the playlist on the resources section of our church’s website. We’ve collected all the songs we’ve recorded over the last several months for our edification and encouragement: https://fbcum.orgmedia-library/
8) Giving We encourage you to continue to faithfully give as a way to sustain the gospel ministry at FBCUM and as a means for us to care for those in need as a church family. You can give online or mail in your offering to the church office. Church members who have a benevolence request, please contact the church office at [email protected].
If you have any questions, please contact the church office.
