Announcement
Mid-week Announcements on November 25, 2020
1) Mid-week devotional – In our final devotional from our series on the Attributes of God, this week Pastor Zach teaches in this week’s midweek devotional on the wisdom of God. Take a moment this afternoon to listen as we seek to fix our eyes on Him.
2) FBCUM Prayer Meeting, December 2nd, at 6:30 PM (ZOOM only) – Lord willing, we plan on having a churchwide prayer meeting next Wednesday at 6:30 PM on ZOOM. Please mark your calendars and check your email that morning for the ZOOM information to join us. If you have any questions, please contact the church office.
3) Disaster Relief Volunteer Opportunity – In September, there was 4-6 inches of rainfall that left a number of homes in Prince George’s County. Our Disaster Relief team is helping out these families with flood recovery (removing damaged drywall, cleaning, etc.) in an effort to help them get back up on their feet, share the love of Christ and the good news. For those interested in helping out you can find out more information and sign up here: SignupGeniusDCsuburb, and contact the church office with questions.
4) Book Recommendation: Knowing God, by J.I. Packer
5) Memorizing James together: We want to offer a Scripture memory challenge to our church as a way to hide God’s word in our hearts. We’re suggesting two options: Path A is to memorize the entire book of James, Path B is to memorize particular sections from James. Check out this guide to see the schedule for each path, various tools to help you memorize, and other encouragements.
6) Indoor Meeting Plans: Lord willing, we will continue to meet indoors for the duration of the winter season. You can find out our plans for meeting indoors by reading the Indoor gathering FAQ sheet. Please note, we plan to continue to offer the live-stream option for the duration of COVID-19. If you have any questions, please contact the church office with any questions.
7) FBCUM Playlist – Check out the playlist on the resources section of our church’s website. We’ve collected all the songs we’ve recorded over the last several months for our edification and encouragement: FBCUM Worship Songs
8) Giving We encourage you to continue to faithfully give as a way to sustain the gospel ministry at FBCUM and as a means for us to care for those in need as a church family. You can give online or mail in your offering to the church office. Church members who have a benevolence request, please contact the church office at [email protected].
If you have any questions, please contact the church office.
