Announcement

Mid-week Announcements on December 2, 2020

1) Mid-week devotional – This winter we’ll turn our attention to the Proverbs and the Psalms as we seek to grow in a wisdom that’s rooted in our worship of God (Prov. 9:10). This week Pastor Josh gets us started with a call to trust in the Lord as he walks us through Proverbs 3:1-8. Take a moment this afternoon to read the passage and listen to the devotional as we look to God for wisdom.

2) FBCUM Prayer Meeting, December 2nd, at 6:30 PM (ZOOM only) – Lord willing, we plan on having a churchwide prayer tonight at 6:30 PM on ZOOM. Please check your email for the ZOOM information to join us. If you have any questions, please contact the church office.

3) Lord’s Supper this Sunday (12/6) – As we prepare to celebrate the Lord’s Supper this coming Sunday, let’s make sure to prepare our hearts and relationships beforehand (How to prepare) and to let those who are using the FM transmitter lot know they can drive under the front door awning between 9:00-9:30 AM to pick up the bread and cup from one of our attendants.

4) Optional Budget Meeting on Sunday (12/6) at 1:00 PM – As we prepare to finalize our budget plans for 2021, we are hosting our annual budget information meeting this Sunday at 1:00 PM on ZOOM. This is an optional meeting made available to walk thru the budget and take any questions before we vote to approve the budget at our member’s meeting on Sunday 12/13. Please contact the church office if you have any questions.

5) Book Recommendation: Love Came Down at Christmas: Daily Readings for Advent, by Sinclair Ferguson.

6) Indoor Meeting Plans: Lord willing, we will continue to meet indoors for the duration of the winter season. You can find out our plans for meeting indoors by reading the Indoor gathering FAQ sheet. Please note, we plan to continue to offer the live-stream option for the duration of COVID-19. If you have any questions, please contact the church office with any questions.

7) FBCUM Playlist – Check out the playlist on the resources section of our church’s website. We’ve collected all the songs we’ve recorded over the last several months for our edification and encouragement:  FBCUM Worship Songs

8) Giving We encourage you to continue to faithfully give as a way to sustain the gospel ministry at FBCUM and as a means for us to care for those in need as a church family. You can give online or mail in your offering to the church office. Church members who have a benevolence request, please contact the church office at [email protected].
