Sr. Pastor Zach Schlegel – January 13, 2021
Announcement

Mid-week Announcements on January 13, 2021

1) Mid-week devotional – As we continue on in our series on wisdom (living skillfully in God’s world), we return to the book of Proverbs. Wisdom has a lot to say about our speech: what we say when we say it, and how we say it. Today, Pastor Tony dives into Proverbs 15:1 which looks at the constructive power of a gentle answer and the destructive power of a harsh response. May God grow us in heavenly wisdom together!

2) FBCUM Prayer Meeting, January 6th at 6:30 PM (ZOOM only) – Lord willing, we plan on having a churchwide prayer meeting next week at 6:30 PM on ZOOM. Please check your email for the ZOOM information as we come together to praise God and make our requests known to Him. If you have any questions, please contact the church office.

3) Testimony of Grace – We had the chance to hear several reflections from members of our church on their time of prayer and fasting last week. Praise God that we have access to a God who invites us to the throne of grace to receive mercy and help in our time of need (Hebrews 4:16). May we continue to seek Him, wait on Him, pray for one another and those outside our church (see John 16:20-24).

4) Book Recommendation: Spurgeon’s Sorrows: Realistic Hope for those who Suffer from Depression. By: Zack Eswine

5) Indoor Meeting Plans: Lord willing, we will continue to meet indoors for the duration of the winter season. You can find out our plans for meeting indoors by reading the Indoor gathering FAQ sheet. Please note, we plan to continue to offer the live-stream option for the duration of COVID-19. If you have any questions, please contact the church office with any questions.

6) FBCUM Playlist – Check out the playlist on the resources section of our church’s website. We’ve collected all the songs we’ve recorded over the last several months for our edification and encouragement:  FBCUM Worship Songs

7) Giving We encourage you to continue to faithfully give as a way to sustain the gospel ministry at FBCUM and as a means for us to care for those in need as a church family. You can give online or mail in your offering to the church office. Church members who have a benevolence request, please contact the church office at [email protected].
