Mid-week Announcements on March 17, 2021

1) Mid-week devotional – As we continue on in our series on wisdom (living skillfully in God’s world), we turn to this morning to the Psalms, looking at Psalm 130. The Psalms are God’s inspired hymnbook, so we don’t just read them, we pray and sing the psalms. Our devotional this week has four simple components: Read, Reflect, Pray, and Praise. Begin with the devotional, then end with the song of praise:

2) FBCUM Prayer Meeting, March 17^th at 6:30 PM (ZOOM) – Lord willing, we plan on having a churchwide prayer meeting tonight at 6:30 PM on ZOOM. Please check your email for the ZOOM invite and join us as we come together to praise God and make our requests known to Him. If you have any questions, please contact the church office.

3) Introducing Joel Kurz – This week we have the joy of having Pastor Joel Kurz from the Garden Church in downtown Baltimore (http://thegardenbaltimore.com) preach to us God’s word from Acts 1. Read ahead and join us in praying for our time together this Sunday under God’s Word.

4) Book Recommendation –  Evangelism as Exiles: Life on Mission as Strangers in Our Own Land, by Elliot Clark.

5) Indoor Meeting Plans: Lord willing, we will continue to meet indoors for the duration of the winter season. You can find out our plans for meeting indoors by reading the Indoor gathering FAQ sheet. Please note, we plan to continue to offer the live-stream option for the duration of COVID-19.
