Announcement

Mid-week Announcements on April 21, 2021

1) FBCUM Prayer Meeting , (4/21), 6:30 PM (ZOOM) – Lord willing, we plan on having a churchwide prayer meeting tonight at 6:30 PM on ZOOM. Please check your email your calendars for the ZOOM invite and join us as we come together to praise God and make our requests known to Him. If you have any questions, please contact the church office.

2) Starting Point Class April 25th – Following the morning service (lunch will be served), we are planning a starting point class where we walk thru what we believe as a church, what it means to be a member at FBCUM, and the mission/vision of our church. Attending this class does not obligate you to join the church, but it is the first step for folks who are interested in joining FBCUM. To find out more information and/or to sign up for the class, email the church office at [email protected].

3) Evidence of God’s Grace – Last Sunday, we read the Apostle John saying, “For I rejoiced greatly when the brothers came and testified to your truth, as indeed you are walking in the truth. I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth” (3 John 3–4). One of the joys of serving as a pastor is having a front-row seat to seeing and hearing the various ways He is at work in the lives of various members of our church family. I have been deeply encouraged hearing from various members how God has been using His word to encourage, reprove, correct, and train in righteousness in specific ways (2 Tim. 3:16-17; Rom. 15:4). Praise God for this and please join with me in praying that God, by His Spirit, continues to graciously do this work in each of us more and more!

4) Summer Sabbatical Plans and New Sermon Card – We encourage our church family to be read beforehand the text that will be preached on the coming Sunday to pray and prepare for our gathering under God and His word on Sunday. Here is the new sermon card for this summer’s preaching schedule.

5) Book RecommendationsAll Loves Excelling: the Saints Knowledge of God’s Love, by John Bunyan

6) FBCUM Playlist – Check out the playlist on the resources section of our church’s website. We’ve collected all the songs we’ve recorded over the last several months for our edification and encouragement:  FBCUM Worship Songs

7) Indoor Meeting Plans: By God’s grace we’ve been able to meet indoors for our Sunday gatherings with masks and socially distanced. Please note, we plan to continue to offer the live-stream option for the duration of COVID-19. If you have any questions, please contact the church office with any questions.

8) Giving We encourage you to continue to faithfully give as a way to sustain the gospel ministry at FBCUM and as a means for us to care for those in need as a church family. You can give online or mail in your offering to the church office. Church members who have a benevolence request, please contact the church office at [email protected].
