Mid-week Announcements on November 17, 2021

1) Prayer Meeting tonight Wednesday, November 17^th (ZOOM) 6:30 PM – Join us tonight Wednesday at 6:30 PM for our church wide prayer meeting. Check your email for the ZOOM information that went out this morning! If you haven’t received it or have any questions, contact the church office.

2) Rejoice with Dezmond and Shanice Ouzts: Join us in praising God and celebrating the birth of Maci Autumn Ouzts this past week. Mom and baby are doing well!

3) Budget and Member Meeting dates/times – Members, please mark your calendar for the upcoming meetings:

• On December 5^th, (after the morning service), there is an optional budget discussion meeting where the elders will walk thru the proposed 2022 budget, review and take questions.
• On December 12^th (after the morning service), we have a members meeting scheduled.

4) Funeral details – The funeral for Janell Wagner’s mom (Sherie) will be at 3:00 PM on Saturday, November 20^th at Grace Brethren Church (9870 Old Solomons Island Rd, Owings, MD 20736). There will be a lunch following the service.

Please be in prayer for Stevie Miller and his family as they grieve the loss of his mother (Bessie). Her memorial service will be on Saturday 27^th at the Robert E. Evans Funeral Home, (16000 Annapolis Rd, Bowie MD).

5) Memorizing Romans 8 Together Challenge: Romans 8 is jam-packed with glorious truths about God good for us to dwell on and memorize. As our church works through Romans 8 this Fall (see Sermon Card), we wanted to offer a Scripture memory challenge to our church as a way to hide God’s word in our hearts. Beginning September, we have 13 weeks to memorize all of Romans 8 (which has 39 verses). Find a friend to memorize with or do it with your family! For a helpful tool, check out biblememory.com. If you prefer to go at your own pace, go for it! For those who find it helpful to have a plan, here you go:

7) Giving We encourage you to continue to faithfully give as a way to sustain the gospel ministry at FBCUM and as a means for us to care for those in need as a church family.
