Mid-week Announcements on January 5, 2022
1) Prayer Meeting Tonight – Please join us tonight at 6:30 PM for our church-wide prayer meeting. We will be meeting in person at the church building to hear from Proverbs 3:5-6, sing, and pray together. We look forward to having you join us!
2) Parent Meeting this Sunday (January 9th) – Lord willing, we will be restarting our children’s ministry on Sunday, January 16th. Parents, if you plan on having your kids involved, we need you to join us for a brief, 15-minute informational meeting immediately after the church service. We’ll meet in the Youth Room (Rooms #124-125) – Pam Jensen, our children’s director and a few of our elders will walk us through our protocol.
3) Women’s Bible Study on Anxiety – Ladies, we were thankful for the time we had back in October to dig into God’s word on the topic of overcoming anxiety. As a follow-up to that time, we are working on hosting a 7-week study through Ed Welch’s book When I am Afraid: A Step-by-Step Guide Away from Fear and Anxiety this winter. Stay tuned for more details to come!
4) Parenting Conference at FBCUM – Mark your calendars for the morning of Saturday, January 22nd, 2022 as we plan to host a parenting conference. We are hosting pastor Ed Moore and his wife Anna from New York City as they lead our time together. To find out more information and to register for the event click here: “Biblical Parenting Conference”.
5) Book Recommendation – Just Do Something: A Liberating Approach to Finding God’s Will, by Kevin DeYoung.
6) Giving We encourage you to continue to faithfully give as a way to sustain the gospel ministry at FBCUM and as a means for us to care for those in need as a church family. You can give online or mail your offering to the church office. Church members who have a benevolence request, please contact the church office at [email protected].
If you have any questions, please contact the church office.
