Announcement
Mid-week Announcements on March 16, 2022
1) Wednesday Night Inductive Bible Study tonight & AWANA tonight, 6:30 PM – Join us tonight for our Wednesday Night inductive Bible study in Room 117/118 where one of our pastors leads us through a passage of Scripture verse-by-verse where together we observe what the text says, interpret what it means, and seek to apply it with God’s help. All are welcome, join us tonight as we dive into 2 Peter 1:16-18!
2) Volunteer Opportunity – One way to serve our families with young kids is to help in the nursery during the Sunday morning service. For us to continue having a nursery for parents during the Sunday AM Service we need 6 adult volunteers. The commitment would be to serve one Sunday every 5 weeks. Please contact Shelbey Strickland ([email protected]) to sign up!
3) Women’s Ministry Conference Last Week to Register (March 25th -26th) – Ladies we plan on hosting a 2-day conference with Blair Linne talking about God as our Father. More than a conference on fatherlessness, we’ll consider ideas like identity, the family, and our being adopted by God. You can register here now or stop by the desk on Sunday in the fellowship hall. Check out her spoken word and if you’d like to check out her new book, it’s available on the bookstall: Finding my Father: How the Gospel Heals the Pain of Fatherlessness.
4) Disaster Relief Volunteer Opportunity – Disaster Relief Volunteers and members of First Baptist Church are invited to help us prepare lots of sandwiches for Send Volunteers with the North American Mission Board (NAMB) at FBCUM on Thursday, April 28 from 12-4pm. For more information, please contact Tanya Joy ([email protected]) at the church office for details.
5) Lost-and-Found – There are coats, books, and other belongings that have been left behind over the past year. This Sunday (3/13/22), we’ll put the coat rack and a table with items from the lost-and-found on a table in the fellowship hall. If you’re missing something, please stop by to retrieve it. After a few weeks, unclaimed items will be donated to a good cause.
6) Book Recommendation – Living Life Backward: How Ecclesiastes Teaches us to live in light of the end, by David Gibson
7) Giving We encourage you to continue to faithfully give as a way to sustain the gospel ministry at FBCUM and as a means for us to care for those in need as a church family. You can give online or mail your offering to the church office. Church members who have a benevolence request, please contact the church office at [email protected].
If you have any questions, please contact the church office.
