Mid-week Announcements on March 30, 2022

1) Wednesday Night Inductive Bible Study tonight & AWANA tonight, 6:30 PM  – Join us tonight for our Wednesday Night inductive Bible study in Room 117/118 where one of our pastors leads us through a passage of Scripture verse-by-verse where together we observe what the text says, interpret what it means, and seek to apply it with God’s help. All are welcome, join us tonight as we dive into 2 Peter 2:1-3!

2) Men’s Breakfast – April 23^rd – Ephesians 4:26 says “Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger.” That seems simple enough, but what does that look like, and how do we do this? Men mark your calendars for Saturday, April 23^rd – Lord willing we plan to meet at the church from 8:00-10:00 AM that morning for breakfast, fellowship, and a devotional on anger. Cost is free and all are welcome. We will send out a registration later this week to get an accurate count for food and seating. Hope to see you there!

3) Starting Point – April 24^th – Starting point is a class designed to introduce people to who we are as a church and what we believe. Attending the class does not obligate you to join but it is the first step in joining our church family. Our next class is scheduled for April 24^th in the fellowship hall, immediately after the morning service. Please let the church office know if you or a friend plan to attend [email protected].

4) April 15^th Good Friday Service – Please mark your calendar for our Good Friday Service on Friday, April 15^th at 7:00 PM as we gather to remember Christ’s death.

5) Lord’s Supper – April 3^rd – Church family, remember we plan on celebrating the Lord’s Supper together this coming Sunday.

6) Disaster Relief Volunteer Opportunity – Disaster Relief Volunteers and members of First Baptist Church are invited to help us prepare lots of sandwiches for Send Volunteers with the North American Mission Board (NAMB) at FBCUM on Thursday, April 28 from 12-4 pm.  For more information, please contact Tanya Joy ([email protected]) at the church office for details.

7) FBCUM Adopt-a-Home Opportunity – Help us serve a local homeowner who suffered a loss due to flooding on Saturday, April 9. Work includes framing a large wall, insulation, drywall, and adding baseboards. No experience is required. Training provided on-site. Please pray for the team as they head out; to volunteer, contact Eric or Kristine Sohn at [email protected].

9) Giving We encourage you to continue to faithfully give as a way to sustain the gospel ministry at FBCUM and as a means for us to care for those in need as a church family.
