CloseJames 2:14-26
Introduction
Peter writes, “if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials, so that the tested genuineness of your faith—more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire—may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ” (1 Pet. 1:6-7) When life hurts, it’s natural to put getting out of the trial as our top priority. But learning what a trial reveals about our faith is even more important since the consequences of faith are forever. How can you know if your faith is authentic? Thankfully, James helps us differentiate counterfeit faith from saving faith.
