Introduction
Would you say that you are an idolater? John’s gospel has been on repeat saying true life is found in God alone. An idol is anything we trust or love more than God. It’s something we can’t live without or something we are willing to break the rules to protect. These idols promise life and a sense of control but ultimately fail us. John gives us guard rails for how we can guard our life and have the fullness of life.
