Introduction
Have you ever been looking for something but just couldn’t find it? You thought it was in one type of packaging, but it is in something completely different, and you missed it. Most Jews missed Jesus for the same reason. They thought that the Messiah would be a mighty warrior who would free them from the rule of the Romans. They weren’t looking for a lowly, suffering Savior.
Today, most people miss Jesus as well. He isn’t what they expect Him to be. They want a savior who will grant their wishes or someone who will solve all their problems. To joyously welcome Jesus as our King, we need to understand properly who He is.
Sermon Outline
1. Preparations for King Jesus fulfills the scripture. Vs. 28-36
2. The coronation of King Jesus brings peace to those who believe the Gospel. Vs. 37-40
3. Condemnation awaits those who do not believe the message of Jesus. Vs. 41-48
