Pastor’s Post June 29, 2022

Hear brief  announcements from Pastor Zach on the Weekly Devotional,  Updates,  and encouraging stories from our congregation.

Mid-week Announcements on June 29, 2022

1) Summer Schedule – Our plan is to break for the summer with AWANA and our inductive Bible Study but maintain our first Wednesday of the month prayer meeting (mark your calendars for July 6th, 6:30 PM for our next prayer meeting). We encourage members to use this time to get to know their neighbors in an effort to share the gospel (have a BBQ, game night, book discussion, etc.); slow down and enjoy intentional time together as a family; meet up with another member (or two) of the church to read a book together (we have a large selection available at the church bookstall), memorize/discuss Scripture, or pray together.

2) Church Picnic on the Front Lawn—Sunday, July 10th, 5:00 PM Start – We look forward to having you join us for our church picnic on July 10th! In planning the event, we’ve decided to move the start time to 5:00 PM to allow families to rest beforehand, gather their food, and miss the bulk of the heat. A few details to keep in mind

  1. We’ll provide the BBQ and water – you bring the sides you’d like to eat. This is NOT a potluck – feel free to share sides you bring, but it will be family-style, not a potluck.
  2. Bring lawn chairs, blankets, pop-up tents for shade, games, etc.
  3. Available to help with things like setup and cleanup? Please email Mike Rogers: [email protected]

3) Lord’s Supper this SundayLord willing, we’ll be celebrating the Lord’s Supper together this coming Sunday (7/3/22). Please use the following week to prepare your heart and seek reconciliation with any church member you may be in conflict with as we remember Christ, our commitment to Him, and to each other during the Lord’s Supper.

4) Giving We encourage you to continue to faithfully give as a way to sustain the gospel ministry at FBCUM and as a means for us to care for those in need as a church family. You can give online or mail your offering to the church office. Church members who have a benevolence request, please contact the church office at [email protected].

If you have any questions, please contact the church office.
